Reading Raleigh County Case Dispositions
“Dismissed” means a charge ended without a conviction. It does not explain whether the dismissal followed a plea on another count, and it does not erase the public file. “Nolle prosequi” means the prosecutor formally chose not to continue that charge at that time. “Convicted” follows a guilty plea or verdict. “Acquitted” means the fact finder returned a not-guilty result after trial.
