Why We Built This Site
West Virginia provides several public access routes, but they do not lead to one complete Raleigh County file. The Raleigh County Sheriff's Office maintains sheriff-created reports. Magistrate and Circuit clerks hold charges, docket events, judgments, and dispositions. WVDCR publishes jail and prison custody information, while the West Virginia State Police Criminal Identification Bureau keeps the biometric repository. The West Virginia Sex Offender Registry serves a separate public-safety purpose. This site brings together verified contacts, official portals, request steps, and known fees without treating those distinct records as interchangeable.
What You Will Find Here
- Record routes: ways to locate and read Raleigh County criminal court cases
- Official review channels: the fingerprint-based CIB and FBI processes used to review one's own history
- Local contacts: the Raleigh County sheriff, court clerks, Beckley offices, and state systems that hold each record
- Record relief: West Virginia expungement rules and the Raleigh County Circuit Court filing route
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any West Virginia court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We do not retrieve criminal records or conduct official checks
- We cannot submit a WVFOIA request or an expungement petition for a visitor
- We do not issue certified court copies, police reports, or CIB records
- We cannot advise anyone about a charge, warrant, case, or eligibility for relief
- We cannot promise that an agency will not change a fee, address, or procedure
An official record must come from the office that maintains it, such as the sheriff, the court clerk, WVDCR, or the West Virginia State Police CIB.
Search Partners
Outside companies power some search boxes shown on the site. Each provider controls its results, prices, and service terms. A referral may produce compensation when a visitor chooses a paid offering, which helps support free access to these reference pages. We do not set a partner's charges or determine the content of its results.
